Jesse Paegle is responsible for steel solutions developments at ArcelorMittal including body-in-white, battery pack and chassis components, and has wide-ranging experience in developing automotive bodies and in production. He started his automotive career as an engineer in Brazil in 1997, where he went on to work as a production and maintenance supervisor at Renault, managing teams in assembly and stamping shops. He first joined ArcelorMittal in 2005 as technical customer support engineer, and later led the development of ArcelorMittal’s advanced high strength steel (AHSS) families in the Mercosur region. After leaving ArcelorMittal in 2012, he was responsible for automotive R&D in Mercosul for Gestamp, and later worked at JWP Engineering & Consulting and Aperam. He re-joined ArcelorMittal in 2019 to lead new developments at ArcelorMittal Tailored Blanks in Europe, assuming his current role in 2022.
